New events announced by Leeds Against the Cuts

TUESDAY 8th FEBRUARY
2.00pm Leeds Civic Hall Council Chamber
public meeting against mental health cuts
called by Leeds UNISON

This month Leeds City Council is preparing to make a decision on cuts that could see sports centres, libraries, day centres and the Leeds Crisis centre closing, with up to 3000 local government jobs to go. Unison local government branch has called Tuesday’s meeting to lobby the council against mental health cuts, which would abandon hundreds of the most vulnerable
people in Leeds.

Please come to the meeting if you can, get involved in the campaign by unions and Leeds Against the Cuts to oppose these cuts, and build for the national mega-demo called by the TUC for 26 March against ConDem cuts!

Leeds Against the Cuts is meeting this Tuesday at 5.30 pm at the Leeds TUC centre, 88 North Street just 3 minutes walk from city centre. Come along if you want to get involved in campaigning against the cuts, and organising forthe 26th. Meetings every week after but on Thursday, 5.30, same place.
